We were thrilled to have Sandy Streeter, the founder of Metroplex Gymnastics, join us at our team banquet to celebrate the achievements of the past season. This year marks a significant milestone as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of Metroplex Gymnastics, a rare accomplishment among many gyms. Here Sandy is pictured with a group of our current Elite gymnasts. Sandy began her journey in tumbling and trampoline in 1953. By 1959, she had already earned a national title as an AAU finalist, securing a silver medal at the AAU nationals that year. In 1975, she established what we now cherish as Metroplex Gymnastics in Dallas, Texas. Throughout the 1980s, she expanded Metroplex by opening additional locations across the DFW area, becoming one of the first multi-gym operators in Texas. Metroplex truly embodies a family legacy, founded by Sandy Streeter and currently owned by her son, Bryan Streeter.

Bernice, a first-time qualifier, won the All Around competition with a score of 37.75. She also secured first place in vault, bars, and beam, representing the junior division. Senior Kamila Pawlak, a five-time qualifier for the NLC & 2022 champion, achieved an All-Around score of 38.625 also winning in both vault and bars. She will represent the senior division at the 2025 Nastia Liukin Cup. Congratulations to both ladies! Metroplex is so excited for you both! 💕✨

Senior Sunday! In just a few months, this senior will head on her new journey to her dream school! Kaity has been a part of Metroplex since childhood, and it has been a tremendous pleasure to witness her numerous achievements. Some of her proudest moments are competing in the Hopes Elite, where she earned a spot on the national team, participating at national competitions, and securing a full scholarship to Denver.

We are excited to ring in the new year by spotlighting our January senior, Kaitlynd Kastl! Kaity will be attending the University of Denver this fall on a full ride gymnastics scholarship. It has been a pleasure to witness her growth as an athlete and celebrate her numerous accomplishments over the years. Be sure to tune in every Sunday throughout January to learn more about her journey and experiences!

Though this senior has been with us for a relatively brief period, she has already made a significant impact on her teammates and coaches. She has signed with her dream institution, Brigham Young University (BYU), and delivered an outstanding performance at the nationals, where she secured second place on the balance beam.
